Alchemy 101: Rootwork for Beginners

Service Description

Come join our resident Witch, Toni Maurice-Milburn, as she takes you on a fun and interactive journey of self-discovery. This course is designed specifically for the beginner who is looking to establish a firm foundation to further build their spiritual practices on. Those with a bit more experience are also very welcome and encouraged to join in the fun. If you have felt the call to work with the magic of roots, herbs, oils and energy, this class is it! During these 13 weeks, we will cover the following topics: Module 1/Weeks 1-3: The focus will be on the history and basic applications of rootwork. We will discuss important historical figures of the Conjure community, common vocabulary terms, various techniques and tools for divination, and the role Rootworkers have in our communities. Module 2/Weeks 4-6: We will be exploring the various supplies every Witch should have on hand in their pantry. We will discuss the magical and medicinal purpose of some common herbs, roots and oils, as well as the use of candles, petition papers and other sundries. We will also discuss various ways to create oils, teas, tinctures and salves. Module 3/Weeks 7-9: Discovering the importance and practice of spiritual cleansing for the body and home. You will learn the best practices for spiritual cleansing and proper cleansing of your tools and workspace. We will have plenty of time to make various spiritual baths and floor washes. Module 4/Weeks 10-13: It’s time to incorporate everything you’ve learned thus far. This is where we get into the importance of doing divination before Spellwork, choosing the proper spell and ingredients, timing, how and when to substitute an item, and proper disposal of spell remnants. 50% of fees will be refunded if registration is canceled within 72 hours of registering. No fees will be refunded within 14 days of the beginning of class. Price includes class manual and supplies sample box. Additional supplies and reading lists will be given during the 1st class.

Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds for services. Appointments canceled within 24 hours of scheduled time: 100% of service fee will be applied to a rescheduled time. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours but at least 12 hours, 50% of service fee will be applied to a rescheduled time. Appointments canceled with less than 12 hours notice will forfeit all fees. Canceling an appointment with less than 12 hours more than 2 times will result in you not being able to schedule any further services.
